How to Make a Gradient Candle Holder Using Empty Tissue Rolls

We have a bunch of empty tissue rolls at home because they're always on our shopping list for home decor crafts. We can't go without them! I always make sure to hang onto them even after they're empty. Rather than tossing them in the trash, I've been brainstorming ways to give them a second life and learn how to make a DIY project. I enjoy finding new uses for old things, so turning these empty rolls into something practical seems like a perfect project for me to tackle as part of my DIY journey.

You'll only need a few supplies, and it won't cost much to create this charming piece of decoration. Let's get crafting!

For this project, you'll need:

1. The first step, of course, is to cut the empty tissue rolls in half. For this project, we only need five empty tissue rolls.

 2. Using the petal shape that I've previously cut (let's assume you have cut it before), trace it onto the empty rolls.

 3. Once you've traced the petal shape onto all five tissue rolls, cut them out.

4. This part takes the longest time. Paint each petal one by one. Start with a coat of white paint as a primer.

5. Next, use the paint colors you've chosen. I used four colors ranging from dark pink to light pink. Mix a bit of pink and white paint for the lightest shade to achieve the desired color.

6. After painting, take the container you'll use for the candle holder and glue the painted petals onto it. Make sure to arrange them from the lightest to the darkest shade for a gradient effect. Your gradient candle holder is now complete. Enjoy!

Turning empty tissue rolls into a pretty candle holder is a fun way to recycle and decorate your home. Just follow these easy steps: cut the rolls, paint them, and stick them onto a container. It's up to you which design or colors you want to use. It's a great project for the whole family and helps reduce waste too. So, next time you have some empty rolls, don't throw them away—turn them into something beautiful instead!
